Of all the things Zora Mosley expected to do in life, getting pregnant out of wedlock wasn’t one of them. When the father of her child refuses to marry her, Zora faces limited choices if she has any hope of keeping her secret.
Thrust into a quick marriage with a man who is not at all what she expected, Zora reluctantly returns to Arbor Springs with no goals except to make the most of her situation. But soon, her marriage becomes the least of her problems when she finds herself entangled in an unexpected drug ring that makes one thing very clear: Zora’s not the only person willing to go to any lengths to protect a secret.
When will this book be released?
Next week.
What took so long?
I really, desperately wanted to release this book in August and I genuinely thought I was going to make my deadline as this was supposed to be the shortest book in the series. Friends, it is longer than The Agreement. That really surprised me.
Also, a certain element of the novel received mixed reviews from my beta readers, and whenever I get mixed feedback, I have to pause and do some thinking.
Is there anything you can tell us?
In my opinion, this is by far one of my more introspective novels. Zora is a different kind of character for me and I very much appreciated the challenge of being in her head and dealing with her situation in the American South in the 1950s. I would say more but I’ve decided that if I have to explain it, then it doesn’t work. I hope it works for you but I understand if it doesn’t.
What’s next?
As of right now, unless the Spirit moves, and the Spirit does move upon occasion, there is only one book left in the Arbor Springs series. To do it properly, this one is going to require me taking more time to research as I try to wrap up all of the threads dangling from the other books. I anticipate this book releasing at the end of next summer.
Anyway, I hope you like the cover! I think it’s gorgeous. And as always, once you read Zora’s story, I hope that you’ll be both blessed and entertained.

I love your writing. Thank you! I can’t wait to read this next one.
